Living in London in 1973 I was researching how the arts could effect change and bought this book "Art and Confrontation: France and the arts in an age of change".
BACK COVER: Provoked by the Paris uprisings of May and June 1968, nine forthright sociologists and journalists of the French world reflect upon the changing structure and significance on artists. The authors illustrate their opinions of where change is needed using artworks of Matto, Christo, Rauchenberg and Bauer. One very effective artist, Erro, replaces Vietnamese horrors using settings in American cities.
